Papers available

There have been no papers published on Triple Tinnitus Formula as a supplement, but there have been a number published on its component parts:

Studies suggest hibiscus has antibacterial, antioxidant, diuretic, and antihypertensive effects. It is regarded as safe[5].

Hawthorn extracts have been used in the treatment of heart problems, including heart failure as it increases coronary blood flow. It can lower blood pressure. It is generally regarded as safe, although it can interact with certain medications[6].

There is very little research into juniper’s pharmacological uses. No clinical data to support the use of juniper in any treatments, including tinnitus. It should not be used by those who are pregnant or breastfeeding[7].

Green tea has been used to treat high cholesterol and lack of mental alertness, however its effectivity is still uncertain[8]. Green tea can be toxic when taken in large, concentrated doses and as such is not recommended when medicinal use[9].

Olive leaf contains potentially bioactive compounds which may have antioxidant, antihypertensive and anti-inflammatory properties[10], however studies do not support its use for any indication. It is likely to be safe[11].

It is not certain whether garlic is effective in treating any medical condition. It is safe as a foodstuff but unregulated as a supplement[12].

Vitamin C is important for bones, connective tissue, muscles, and blood vessels. It helps the body absorb iron which is needed for red blood cell production. Side effects are rare.[13]

Niacin (vitamin B3) can improve cholesterol levels at high doses. As nicotinamide, there is evidence that it is no more effective than a placebo in the treatment of tinnitus.[14]

Vitamin B6 is used to treat a type of anaemia (lack of red blood cells). B6 supplements can interact with some medications, making them less effective (including epilepsy medication).[15]

Vitamin B12 helps to keep the body’s nerves and blood cells healthy, and there is no evidence for harm even in high doses[16]

Folic acid (folate) is needed to make DNA and other genetic material. Side effects are rare[17].
