Here are details of some events we know are taking place before and during Tinnitus Week. Please check back as more are being added as they are received:

Monday 5 February, 12.15pm. BOLTON FM.
Farhana Mohamed an Audiologist from the Royal Bolton and Brian Holland a member from the Bolton Tinnitus group will be on Bolton FM, they will be giving out information about Tinnitus and what you should do to in order to seek help.
Tuesday 6 February, 9.00am -12pm. BOLTON.
Bolton Community of Mosques Centre, 1 Vicarage Street, Bolton BL3 5LE
The tinnitus team will be at the centre to raise awareness of tinnitus to the ethnic minority groups, an information stand will be available with the team available to answer any questions.

Wednesday 7 February, 10am – 12noon, SHREWSBURY
Signal Charity at The Hub, Riverside Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury
Come and talk to staff and volunteers at Signak about your tinnitus. Call by for information, signposting and try some equipment that may alleviate your tinnitus symptoms. Refreshments available and a warm welcome. Tel: 01743 358356
Wednesday 7 February, 12.30 – 1.30pm, SHREWSBURY
Signal Charity, Shrewsbury College, English Bridge, Shrewsbury
For students and staff at the college. Come and talk to staff and volunteers about how to protect your ears and how to manage your tinnitus symptoms. Lots of information available.
Wednesday 7 February, 2 – 4.30pm. KEIGHLEY
Airedale General Hospital, Education Centre, Lecture Theatre, Skipton Rd, Steeton, Keighley BD20 6TD.
There will be a 1 hour presentation, speakers and Q&A panel at the Airedale Hospital organised by staff in the Audiology department. The capacity for the event is 100 people maximum.
This is a FREE event but people must have a ticket which can be obtained from ringing the Audiology department on 01535 293 646 and a ticket will be sent out.
Wednesday 7 February, 9 – 5.30pm. STOURBRIDGE
Stourbridge Hearing Centre, 59 High Street, Stourbridge, DY8 1DE
There will be a special guest from Starkey Laboratories coming in and giving any advice on tinnitus. People are welcome to walk in on the day
Wednesday 7 February, 7pm – 9pm. BOLTON
Bolton Tinnitus Support group is meeting at Café Italia all are welcome
There is no charge for the meeting and tea and coffee is available free of charge. The theme of this meeting is relaxation, tinnitus by nature is related to anxiety and stress, and we have Mr Patrick McBride coming to give the group a talk about the benefits of meditation and a guided meditation session. It is also a good opportunity to meet and talk to other people and share your experience. There will also be the Royal Bolton Hospital Tinnitus team facilitating the meeting and on hand to answer any questions. It is a friendly group and we look forward to seeing you there.

The Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Tinnitus Support group will be offering help and support at their Tinnitus Information and Advice Open Day. The Burston Crown, 25 Mill Road, Burston, IP22 5TW
Working with ACS, the Oxfordshire based suppliers of hearing protection products, and In-Ear Monitors (IEMs), the Burston Crown and ACS will give away 25 sets of ear protectors at the pub on Thursday 8th Feb. There will also be a draw amongst customers to win a Custom set of ear protectors that are manufactured by ACS specifically for the ears of the winner. This event is part of our contribution to Tinnitus Week. The first 25 people through the door will receive free universal fit high fidelity earplugs. There’s also a fundraising prize draw for the British Tinnitus Association that will see one lucky person win a pair of ACS Pro custom fit hearing protection.
