Why East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust are supporting the BTA
“The Surgical Acute Audiology Service at EKHUFT support our various local Tinnitus support groups; these are supported by the BTA and are invaluable to our patients and their friends and family that attend. There is a great cohesion of local signposting between the hospitals and voluntary groups, where Audiology regularly attends to talk and support these services.
Our service also supports the BTA on a National Level to network with colleagues and individuals aligned to improving the life of tinnitus and hyperacusis sufferers. This enables us to support research into tinnitus and hyperacusis and to gain knowledge of recent developments; we can then pass this on to our patients and, where appropriate, change our practice to improve local tinnitus and hyperacusis NHS services.”
