My name is Jenny, I’ve been volunteering with the BTA for over a year now. I am 19 years old and had no previous job when I started, so it was a great help to me and helped me get out of the house and feel like I’m doing something worth-while.
My family supported me and came to the interview with me and the BTA were understanding about this. I was happy because it was fairly close to where I live.
I decided to volunteer because I wanted a purpose and something to help get other jobs whilst helping others. I heard about the role on the Sheffield volunteer centre website and applied. It was one of the first ones to get back to me and I was delighted. I love that the staff are friendly and helpful!
