La Fleur : Emmanuelle Khanh x Maitrepierre for SS23

Emmanuelle Khanh x Maitrepierre

After the success of The Comb eyewear concept, Emmanuelle Khanh and Maitrepierre renew their creative partnership with a brand new collaboration for SS23 – La Fleur. This second collaborative chapter illustrates the unique and creative bond between Eva Gaumé and Alphonse Maitrepierre – a new generation of design talent within the Parisian fashion scene.

Eva Gaumé, artistic director of the House continues her creative collaboration with Alphonse Maitrepierre for his SS23 fashion show, presented in Paris as Maitrepierre’s second official show on the Paris Fashion Week calendar.

Alphonse Maitrepierre imposes his direction and his eponymous label in the prestigious official calendar of Paris Fashion Week mixing art inspirations, traditional couture technics, and technical futuristic sportswear. This collection was inspired by the tale of Donkey Skin, the French literary fairy-tale written in verse by Charles Perrault, and the famous film by Jacques Demy, communicated in a conceptual way.

“This is an ode to nature & flowers: fragile and ephemeral they become hybrid and synthetic/timeless. Collaborating with Maitrepierre remains such an amazing process, so fluid and I love to dive in his collections every season. I feel very connected to the poetry he puts into his collections to create great oneiric eyewear pieces.” says Eva Gaumé

The couture frame comes in 4 colorways: luxurious and joyful tinted crystal colors such as electric yellow, warm purple, naïve blue, and deep black.
