About Scrivens Hearing Care

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, a family company, was founded in 1938 as Scrivens Opticians, and in the 1950’s introduced a hearing aid service. There are now over 175 Scrivens branches across England and North Wales and they are continuing to expand.

Their aim is to provide all customers with fantastic customer service and eye/hearing care on a local level. Scrivens hold an accreditation by the NHS to supply adult hearing care services on their behalf. This has helped boost the expansion of Scrivens Hearing Care, who now provide hearing services in over 250 independent opticians and medical centres across the country. Scrivens were also the first high street hearing aid retailer to achieve IQIPS accreditation from UKAS for their adult hearing care services.

Why Scrivens Hearing Care are supporting the BTA

“We see being a member of the BTA as central to our customer focused care.

At least half of our hearing customers suffer from tinnitus, which can be extremely distressing, so being able to offer up to the minute understanding of the condition and being able to refer to the BTA is hugely beneficial for all concerned.

The BTA do a great deal in terms of training, outreach support for sufferers, and supporting research and are a charity that we are very happy to support.”
