About The British Academy of Audiology
The British Academy of Audiology is the largest association of professionals in hearing and balance in the UK.
With membership extending internationally, the members provide hearing healthcare services in both the public and private sector organisations.
Made up of a Managing Board who are all volunteers from within the profession, the BAA focuses on making the voice of the audiologist heard at all levels of debate and discussions.
The aims of BAA are to help its members to develop in their professional skills, provide a benchmark for quality and professional standards, and promote audiology as an autonomous profession.
Why The British Academy of Audiology are supporting the BTA
“The British Academy of Audiology supports BTA in their work whenever possible. The membership find the materials produced for patients by BTA to be particularly valuable and as they are peer reviewed they are confident to offer those leaflets as good advice to patients.
BTA support research into tinnitus; this includes research undertaken by BAA members that adds to the overall knowledge base on tinnitus management, treatments and cures.
The BTA Conference is well presented and designed as the leading conference in the UK for hearing professionals to learn about and enhance their knowledge on tinnitus.
By supporting BTA our organisation ensures that it’s members are abreast of developments in tinnitus care as they become available.”
