New Heights – Andy Wolf Fall/Winter 22/23

Austrian independent eyewear brand Andy Wolf launches the new collection “New Heights” and the campaign of the same name for the upcoming fall/winter season 2022/23.

Higher, faster, further, without losing the love for details – for the new collection, the creative team of Austrian eyewear brand Andy Wolf pushed themselves to new heights, exploring boundaries and rediscovering nuances. The result “New Heights” is more than worth seeing.

It starts with a pair of best-selling metal glasses with acetate inner rings. This time, the inserted ring does not follow the shape of the metal frame in a constant, delicate thickness, but deliberately changes its shape and shows itself unusually present. The Geometric women’s model 4785 and the expressive Caravan frame 4784 thus make a statement for striking lines and 3-dimensionality.

In the classic acetate frames, the collection has been expanded by a whole four models: an oval shape 4610, 4612 a re-design of the Andy Wolf classic 4445, 5130 a bulbous, feminine ladies’ frame and 4611 a mixed shape of panto and rectangle strengthen the collection – for very different personalities.

Anyone who knows Andy Wolf knows how much its heart beats for reverse combination frames: Frames with metal at the top of the frame and thick acetate at the bottom. Many reverse combination frames are Andy Wolf icons and are dearly loved by eyeglass wearers all over the world. For “New Heights,” two models are being launched at once. The first, 5128, is a young interpretation in a crescent U-shape, the second, 5129, is a pair of reading glasses that takes the cat eye to the extreme with its idiosyncratic shape. With its special facets, it is reminiscent of a beautiful gemstone.

Thick, expressive acetate frames are of course not to be missed either. An oversized unisex model 4613 in a retro look and 5131 a trapezoidal, feminine cat-eye shape add the finishing touches to the collection.

A special highlight of the new collection is the launch of the brand new metal eyewear concept P22. The 5 models have a thick profile wire with its own pattern and various details on nose pads, cheek piece, and temple end and thus build the bridge to the popular anniversary collection AWearness. In addition to classic panto frames, a bulbous butterfly with beautifully curved temples set at the bottom and a slim 90s model are the special eye-catchers. The Chervill and Yarrow sunglasses round out the collection. Chervill is a futuristic Aviator and Yarrow is a sporty Cat-Eye frame.

Sunglasses are now an essential part of the Andy Wolf collection. Back in the spring, 4 styles were launched – sunglasses that have come to stay. These glasses are now complemented by 2 styles. Beech is an angular, oversized frame for small women’s heads and Chestnut is a classic unisex panto. As striking acetate statements, Bluebell, a muffin-shaped oversized sunglasses, and Spruce, an XL men’s frame, complete the sun collection. Highlighting the entire sunglasses collection are the avant-garde statement pieces Sloe and Alder. In both models, the creative team played with asymmetry; both models show what good design is without looking dressed up. Sloe is an asymmetrical cat-eye frame and Alder is an XXL frame with a mangau-eye shape, where the facets on the front and back are mirrored asymmetrically.

For the colors of the new collection, Andy Wolf increasingly relies on its own developments. The exclusive 3-way gradient purple-pink-pink is used in different ways in the collection and is a colorful partner to the new Milky-Crystal gradient, in which a milky mauve runs into a transparent gray. The collection also features some bold solid acetates that provide a strong contrast. To revisit the theme of gemstones, Andy Wolf increasingly uses jade green and amethyst purple in acetate and as metal details.

In order to do justice to the name of the collection, the new campaign was photographed in a bouldering hall. The colors of the climbing holds are reflected in the goggles and the models pushed themselves to new heights in dynamic poses.
