Veterans of the UK Armed Forces: A retrospective survey of the experience of tinnitus seeking support
Rachel Duprey from Cardiff Metropolitan University is asking UK Veterans about their experience of tinnitus and seeking support for it while they were serving in the UK Armed Forces. Rachel works in Powys Teaching Health Board as Professional Head of Audiology and is currently studying for an MSc in Advanced Practice (Audiology).
Who can take part?
Rachel is looking for veterans who:
Served in the UK Armed Forces
Have tinnitus (ringing or noises in the ears)
What is the purpose of the study?
This study aims to discover UK Veteran’s experiences of tinnitus when serving in the UK Armed Forces; looking at how the tinnitus impacted them and their ability to carry our their role, and their experience of obtaining support, be that from the military or the NHS.
